Little River Hot Glass
Michael Trimpol & Monique LaJeunesse
The Little River Hot Glass Studio & Gallery is located in the Stowe hamlet of Moscow. Here you will find a wide assortment of our products, all made entirely by hand. You may step onto the blowing floor, hear the roar of the furnaces and watch as molten glass takes shape. Questions are encouraged as we like to share our enthusiasm for the process. Back in the gallery you can choose from a wide assortment of finished pieces or ask to have one made especially for you while you watch. We are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Tuesdays & Wednesday.
Our products are the result of the original designs and precise craftsmanship of its owners, Michael Trimpol and Monique LaJeunesse. Michael and Monique, along with a dedicated team are committed to providing accessible works of functional art made with the finest quality materials.
Of the many media and processes which can be used to create, I have always been attracted to glass and its potential. Initially working with stained glass, I became drawn to the dynamic nature of the blowing process which seemed to better suit both my nature and my vision.
I have a strong preference for objects of a personal scale and with potential utility. A vessel with a lid or stopper has always been of most interest. Color and pattern are also important, either a single pure color highlighting form or a more complex mixture to create patterns.
I am proud of the final product but the actual process of creation is what I find most satisfying.
