Alissa Faber is a mixed media artist and sculptor, with a primary focus in hot glass. All of her work includes glass in some form; “I’ve been enchanted with the process and movement of hot glass since I first tried the medium 10 years ago”. She graduated with a BFA in sculpture from Alfred University in 2009. Faber has worked with many glass blowing professionals in Alfred, NY and Portland, Oregon. She spent years assisting and learning from professional glass gaffers before working on her own. As a solo glassblower, her tools and equipment are arranged specifically for working with the molten material assisant free. Faber is based in Vermont and has a studio in the south end arts district of Burlington.
